Other CV formats There are a range of other formats that are typical for certain industry sectors. Academic CV’s focus on education, academic achievements, projects and publications, usually for lecturing or research roles. The Tech CV is geared to those applying for IT, software or programming roles and may include a section on these technical skills. A Legal CV is like the education version where the focus is on recent qualifications followed by legal experiences.
