A wide range of extra-curricular clubs Y\U HM[LY [OL (JHKLT` KH` VќLYPUN a rich and diverse mix of enrichment opportunities such as Lego League, LAMDA, Arts Award, Debating, Chess, Music, Netball, Badminton, and many more. >L HSZV VќLY [OL PU[LYUH[PVUHSS` recognised Duke of Edinburgh Award (Bronze and Silver Awards) and the newly established Combined Cadet Force (CCF), which is sponsored by her majesty’s Armed Forces – both of these programmes are excellent for the development of team building and leadership skills, perseverance, commitment and dedication. Student Voice is an integral part of the CG experience as we foster and encourage our students to take an active part in the direction of their school. External speakers are invited to attend these meetings and students actively participate in research projects to develop their understanding of the world around them.

The Online Safety Ambassadors are students who work collectively to plan events to raise awareness and educate about the dangers of online activity. Students know how to be safe and are informed through student driven initiatives such as bespoke pop up shops and HZZLTISPLZ :[\KLU[Z OH]L H ÄYT ILSPLM in supporting each other around safety and wellbeing – at CG we care about everyone in our community. A wide range of charities are supported by the Academy throughout the year, and every year we have a charity ‘Rag Week’ at the end of term one. Rag Week is a tradition at CG and involves students from all year groups and there are various events held every day to raise money. This is an established and celebratory L]LU[ [OH[ IYPUNZ Z[\KLU[Z Z[Hќ HUK [OL wider community together, raising funds for a charitable cause, chosen by the students on a yearly basis. We believe that travel and cultural experiences are key to the growth and development of our young people at

the Academy and examples of some of these adventures are as follows:

• Skiing in Italy

• Dance trip to New York

• Water sports trip to Spain

• Language trips – France, Spain and Germany

• Geography trip to Iceland

• Theatre trips

We have a strong alumni at CG and there is a feeling of 'family' at the Academy – connecting our younger students with our more mature ex- students who are keen to stay in touch and support the Academy, thus improving the educational experience of the young people at Chatham Grammar today.
