Leadership

Students are encouraged not only to develop these seven habits within their ‘Leadership’ lessons, but across the whole curriculum and the wider school community. The programme directly leads into the Academy’s reward system and students are awarded leadership points for demonstrating the application of the seven habits of being a successful leader throughout their academic career at CG.

The Leadership Development programme is an exciting new programme of study for Year 7 and 8 students aimed at developing learning capacities, including independent learning skills, employability skills, interdependency and leadership qualities. It has been developed around the philosophy of Stephen Covey’s ‘7 Habits of being a Successful Leader’ and these include:

Lessons develop a student’s self-belief, resilience, raise aspirations and improve problem-solving skills, enabling our students to mature into successful leaders of the future.
