Life at Somerhill Magazine

Fire engine is a big hit with pre-prep pupils! On the first day back, pupils in our pre-prep were visited by the East Kent Fire and Rescue Service to help launch their 'People Who Help Us' topic. The visit helped teach the children about safety awareness, how to recognise emergency helpers, and expanded their vocabulary through hands-on experiences with real equipment. The fire crew dressed some of the children in uniform, demonstrated the powerful fan used to clear smoke, and even let them hold a working fire hose! What a fantastic way to spend the first morning back at Somerhill!
