THE SOMERHILL REVIEW 2023/24

Cross Country Cross country was once again our strongest sport.We entered eight competitions throughout the Michaelmas and Lent terms, picking up dozens of medals and winning trophies and shields at the following events; Rawlinson Run at Dulwich Cranbrook Hazelwood Relays Brenchley Relays at St. Ronan’s Somerhill Regional Goodman & Hutchings Relay at Dulwich Cranbrook DL House winners – Coniston YC House winners – Ashmore Junior Colours – Joshua Bayram, Lewis Roxburgh, Seb Coleman,William Harrow, Erik Bailey,Willa Raymond, Sophie Turner Middles Half Colours – Toby Clift, Charlie Imison, Freddie Duffield, Rudy Osher, Rosie Taylor, Juliet Bailey, Bibi Dart Middles Full Colours – Marcus Lane, Ned Taylor, Oliver Harrow, Rafe Coleman, Isobel Driscoll Seniors Half Colours – Guy Bowers, Douglas Bridgeland, Thomas Wigg, Freddie Di Marco Hunn

Swimming Across the Michaelmas and Lent terms, our pupils worked extremely hard in our pool during PE lessons, clubs, Monson sessions and squad training. Somerhill competed in 6 Galas, finishing with a win ratio of 87%.Twenty-four pupils entered the Regional IAPS competition, with Emily Tarr, Amelia Crooks, Amelia Sela, Esme Latimore and Matilda Palmer qualifying for the National Finals in London. Emily finished 4th in the U11 50m Fly final, and our U10 girls finished with a national bronze in the freestyle relay.
