Yearly Life at Somerhill
Equestrian success for Somerhill pupils Somerhill had some fantastic recent performances at the NSEA national championships at Hickstead, and as always, the team’s support for each other was wonderful to see. There was a super result for Charlie in Year 6, who placed 2nd in the 60cm on his pony, Toffee. Mae, in Year 4, had a 13th placement on her pony, Rambo, in the 40cm, and Freya, in Year 4, also had a great placement on her new pony, Chance, in the 50cm. All classes had over 100 riders taking part, so well done to our rider who all went clear and did very well. Charlie also had success at The Shetland Pony Grand National, a fundraising event for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust. This is an invitation-only race, so well done Charlie! Finally, Sophie, in Year 5, was named Veteran Supreme Champion at the British Elite Championship Show with her veteran pony, Poppy. Well done Sophie and Poppy!
