Maths success at Somerhill Primary Maths Challenge Bonus Round

Following the success of some of our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in the Michaelmas Term, 15 Somerhill pupils participated in the Primary Maths Challenge Bonus Round. This really stretches their problem solving and understanding. The results will be published after half-term when we look forward to celebrating the children's successes.

Intermediate Maths Challenge Some of our Year 8 pupils sat this challenge which is aimed at pupils in Years 9, 10 & 11. We celebrated the very exciting news that Ben achieved a Silver Award and Alex achieved a Gold Award. Alex has also qualified for a follow-on kangaroo round which will take place next half term. This is a tremendous achievement considering the paper is pitched for students up to the age of 16!
