Yearly Life at Somerhill

Mayfield Maths Challenge On Monday 3rd March, eight Year 5 mathematicians attended the Mayfield Maths Challenge. The competition allowed them to solve problems and collaborate in teams of four. There were four rounds: a group round, a logic problem round, a make-24 round, and an energetic relay round. Both our Somerhill teams walked away with prizes. The team of Arya, Blake, Clara and Issey won the relay round, whilst Fraser, Matilda, Sebastian and Violet finished third overall.
