Yearly Life at Somerhill
Somerhill's Day of Triumph
Malvern played host to the 2025 National Prep Schools Cross Country Championships, an annual highlight for aspiring young runners across the country. Among the enthusiastic competitors were 12 pupils from Somerhill, representing their school with pride in the U11 girls, U11 boys, and U13 boys categories. The U11 girls team kicked off the races. Despite being a younger squad—some competing against girls a year or two their senior—the team put on an incredible display of grit and determination. Sophie led the team, finishing 23rd, followed by Hudson (52nd) and Willa (59th). Meanwhile, a spectacular performance by Year 4 pupil Alicia saw her cross the line in 26th place, securing her spot as one of the top young runners of the day, out of a challenging field of 176 participants. The team's combined efforts earned Somerhill an impressive 5th place out of 35 schools. With all girls young enough to return next year the future looks bright for this squad.
