Yearly Life at Somerhill

Forces in Year 3! Pupils in Year 3 have been learning about forces and magnets! Recently, they planned and carried out an experiment to explore how different surfaces affect the force required to move a toy car. Working in groups, they carefully planned their experiment to ensure it was a fair test, then collaborated to carry it out using a variety of surfaces around the school. These included surfaces on and around the Formal Lawns, in the Grand Salon, and in the classroom.
