Future space engineers take on Galatic Challenge!

On Saturday 25th January, 14 future Somerhill space engineers participated in the Bede's Galatic Challenge. They were challenged to plan and build facilities on Mars. They were split into teams with pupils from different schools, and several Somerhill pupils took on leadership roles. Everybody did incredibly

Year 5 measured the insulating properties of different materials by using our new data loggers and iPads. These can draw the graphs in real-time, allowing for even more accurate analysis of the results.' Year 6 have been investigating the pH scale by measuring the strength of different acids and alkalis'.
