Ski Trip 2024

In the first week of the Easter holidays, 70 children and eight teachers drove through the night to Hochfügen, Austria, for the annual Somerhill Ski Trip.

Throughout the week, the group experienced true spring skiing with sunny days and snow laden, cloudy days.This meant the groups had to learn how to ski on fresh powder, ice, and slush, which they all did admirably. All groups improved their skiing, with many able to use the red run alongside the hotel to ski in and out – an absolute godsend. Evenings were spent swimming in a nearby village, playing board games, eating pizza, and learning Tirolean skittles (bowling).The final night in the resort is always ‘Pyjama Drama’ night, where the children, and for the first time, the female staff, put on a show for the rest of the group to enjoy.
