Yearly Life at Somerhill

Second place for Somerhill Chess Club Six boys from Somerhill participated in the inaugural Solefield School Invitational Chess Competition on Tuesday 4th February. The team remained undefeated until the final round, and the boys represented Somerhill with outstanding skill and sportsmanship. A big thank you to Julian from LearnChess, who worked with the boys and prepared them for this competition. Leo, who remained undefeated through all five rounds, said, ‘Chess is a solo game, but when we came second, I felt proud as we had all played a part’.
