Yearly Life at Somerhill

Librarians mark St Valentine’s Day at Somerhill To celebrate St. Valentine's Day and our love of reading and books, the junior librarians from Mrs. Markham's Library Club organised a brilliant 'Book Blind Date' event. Junior librarians wrapped up copies of carefully selected books and invited pupils to choose a book to borrow without peeking under the wrapping. Pupils made their selection using only the keywords on the wrapping, which indicated the genre of the book, age of reader and gave hints of the story contained within. The library was decorated with origami hearts and (book) love was definitely in the air!
