Art at Somerhill

Year 5 have developed their painting skills from last term, learning to paint everyday objects using flat, opaque colour in the style of Michael Craig-Martin. They have used either tape or pen to outline their images and the results are just fantastic!

Year 3 have been designing and making 3D aliens this half term. They have created 3D shapes using card and paper and are beginning to paint the bodies of their creatures and make the arms and legs. We cannot wait to see the results after Easter.

Year 4 have completed their Northwest Pacific inspired moon masks, using a limited palette and cardboard relief. Each mask has it's own personality with symmetrical patterns and symbols.
