An Introduction to A Levels

The step up from GCSEs to studying A levels is a fantastic opportunity to face new challenges and embrace new opportunities. Our A level programme is likely to include entirely new subjects that you've never studied before, and this will help develop new interests that could shape your life and future career paths. During your time at sixth form you will be focusing on just three or four subjects, not the ten or more that you have been used to at GCSE. This means you will study each subject in much greater detail and the work load for each subject will, inevitably, be more demanding. The A level programme has much more opportunity for independent study and this is something you must take advantage of in order to gain the most out of your time with us. Our study zones are a fantastic space for you to spend your independent study time and enhance your subject knowledge. The next two years are a pivotal part of your academic journey and you must spend time considering all your options carefully. We have 25 subjects available for you to study and it is imperative that you take the time to read our A Level Options Brochure and research each course to ensure it is the right course for you. We are, of course, always here to answer any questions you may have and to support you in this process.
